Improve financial results with an optimised investment strategy

Seize excess cash

Before:
Cash sits in current accounts because the forecast is updated once a month and nobody fully trusts it.

After:
A rolling forecast shows when cash is genuinely in surplus, so you can place it without risking a shortfall.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is treasury investment management software?

expand

Treasury investment management software lets a finance team record its cash investments, follow their maturities and interest, and work out how much surplus cash it can place without putting day to day operations at risk. It typically sits on top of a cash flow forecast, since the amount available to invest depends on what the business expects to pay and collect.

How is it different from portfolio or wealth management software?

expand

Portfolio and wealth management platforms are built for asset managers, IFAs and funds, and focus on performance against a benchmark, client reporting and trade execution. Treasury investment management is built for a company's own balance sheet: placing operating surplus safely, holding a buffer for payroll and suppliers, and knowing when each placement matures.

How is it different from a cash savings or deposit platform?

expand

A cash savings platform gives you access to deposit rates across a panel of banks and holds the money for you. Treasury investment management software sits upstream and downstream of that: it tells you how much surplus cash you can commit and for how long, and it keeps the consolidated record of everything you hold, including placements made directly with your own banks. Finance teams commonly use both.

What types of investments can I track in Agicap?

expand

Two families. Fixed-term deposits, with a fixed, stepped or variable rate, where Agicap computes the interest and generates the matching forecast entries. And other instruments, covering money market funds, ETFs, bonds, gilts, securities accounts, structured products, guarantee deposits and property, where you track the current value yourself.

How do I know how much cash I can safely invest?

expand

Agicap builds a rolling forecast from your banking, accounting and budget data, and you define the cash buffer you want to hold. Available cash to invest is the forecast balance minus that buffer. In the simulation tab you enter the rates your banks offer per term, and Agicap shows, for each horizon of 1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months, how much you could place and what it would earn.

Does Agicap execute investments or connect to my broker?

expand

No. Agicap does not place orders, does not connect to a broker and does not source market rates on your behalf. You keep your banking relationships and enter the terms you negotiated. Agicap is the layer that tells you how much you can invest, keeps the record, computes the interest and reports on it.

Can I track deposits held across several banks and entities?

expand

Yes. That is the core of the module. Placements are recorded per entity, in the currency they were made in, across as many banking relationships as you hold, and invested capital over time can be converted into a single reporting currency.

Who uses treasury investment management software?

expand

Mostly CFOs, finance directors and treasurers in businesses that hold a meaningful cash position across several bank accounts, and in groups where cash sits in more than one subsidiary. The trigger is usually the same: a finance director who can see the balances but cannot say how much of them is genuinely idle.
